Beating Retreat Ceremony: Delhi Visitors Police points advisory – Examine routes, metro restrictions

As a part of the Republic Day Celebration, the Beating Retreat Ceremony will probably be held at Vijay Chowk on Friday, January 29. The Delhi Visitors Police has issued an advisory in regards to the site visitors preparations and restrictions in place to facilitate the sleek conduct of the Beating Retreat Ceremony.

Visitors Restrictions

The next site visitors restrictions will probably be put in place on January 29 from 2 pm to 9.30 pm.

  • Vijay Chowk will stay closed for basic site visitors.

Visitors won’t be allowed on the next stretches:-

– Rafi Marg between R/A Sunehri Masjid and R/a Krishi Bhawan.

– Raisina Street from R/a Krishi Bhawan in the direction of Vijay Chowk.

– Past R/a Dara Shikoh Street, R/a Krishna Menon Marg and R/A Sunehri Masjid in the direction of Vijay Chowk.

– Rajpath between Vijay Chowk and “C” hexagon.

  • Normal public/motorist are suggested to take alternate routes i.e  Ring Street, Ridge Street, Aurobindo Marg, Madarsa ‘T’ Level, Safdarjung Street, Kamal Ataturk Marg, Rani Jhansi Street, Minto Street and many others. 

Diversions for Buses

DTC and different metropolis buses shall be diverted from their regular routes from 2 pm to 9.30 pm on January 29 to facilitate the autos of invitees and spectators and to keep away from site visitors congestion on roads around the venue of the ceremony and India Gate.

  • Buses certain for Central Secretariat and Connaught Place coming from Shanti Path – Vinay Marg – Sardar Patel Marg will take Panchsheel Marg – Simon Boliver Marg – Vande Matram Marg – R/a Shankar Street – Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Street.
  • Buses certain for Central Secretariat will terminate at Udyan Marg and return by way of Kali Bari Marg – Mandir Marg – Shankar Street.
  • Connaught Place certain buses will take Mandir Marg – Kali Bari Marg – G.P.O.- Baba Khadak Singh Marg and attain Connaught Place & return by way of Bhagat Singh Marg – Peshwa Street – Mandir Marg – Shankar Street and  Vende Matram Marg.
  • Buses coming from South Delhi on Tughlak Street and certain for Connaught Place/ Central Secretariat will probably be diverted from Aurobindo Chowk to Safdarjung Street – Kamla Ataturk Marg – Panchsheel Marg – Simon Boliver Marg and observe the route as talked about at Serial No. 1.

Metro Station 

Entry/ Exit gates at Rail Bhawan and Udyog Bhawan/Central Secretariat Metro Station will stay closed from 2 pm to six.30 pm on January 29.

Parking

Parking will probably be obtainable for these coming to see illumination at Vijay Chowk behind the water channels between Rafi Marg and “C” Hexagon (after 7PM)
