Chakka Jam: A number of Delhi Metro stations closed in wake of farmers’ protests

The Delhi Metro Rail Company on Saturday introduced the closure the entry and exit gates at a number of metro stations in a wake of ‘Chakka Jam’ known as by farmers’. The DMRC has shut entry and exit gates of metro stations primarily in north and central Delhi as per precautionary measures because of the protests in opposition to the brand new agriculture legal guidelines.

Farmer unions on Monday had introduced countrywide ‘chakka jam’ on February 6 after they would block nationwide and state highways between 12 midday and three pm to protest the web ban in areas close to their agitation websites, harassment allegedly meted out to them by authorities, and different points. 

Round 50,000 personnel of Delhi Police, Paramilitary and Reserve Forces have been deployed in Delhi-NCR area to keep up regulation and order scenario in Delhi.

In the meantime, the Gurugram police have intensified safety and deployed enormous pressure on the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway (NH-48), Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway, Kheri Daula toll plaza on the NH-48 and state highways.
