DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) — A younger man who, police stated, used his truck to vandalize a crosswalk in Delray Seashore that had been newly painted to commemorate Delight Month has surrendered to authorities.

Delray Seashore Police arrested 19-year-old Alexander Jerich after he turned himself in, Thursday.

Investigators stated Jerich was the motive force of a white Chevy pickup truck that was captured on video crossing the Delray Seashore Delight Streetscape at Northeast First Avenue and Second Avenue, Monday.

Jerich was apparently collaborating in a 30-vehicle rally celebrating former President Donald Trump’s birthday that included a parade via the crosswalk, based on arrest paperwork.

The clip, which has since gone viral, exhibits the motorist deliberately doing a burnout throughout the intersection for 15 seconds and leaving skid marks.
