CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — A North Carolina Freeway Patrol trooper is being referred to as a hero after he pulled a mom and a 5-year-old boy from a burning automobile following a lethal crash in Catawba County on Tuesday night time.
The wreck occurred alongside Freeway 321 close to the River Highway Exit, south of Hickory, at about 5:50 p.m.
In keeping with the Freeway Patrol, Trooper Okay.L. Huss clocked a Dodge Charger heading northbound on Freeway 321 rushing sooner than 100 mph in a 65 mph zone. Moments later, one other trooper noticed the identical Charger going sooner than 130 mph and weaving by way of site visitors.
