The Regina Police Service (RPS) has charged a 41 year-old man in reference to alleged assaults on two cops.
The alleged assaults occurred after police responded to name of an “undesirable visitor” at a enterprise within the 1700 block of East Dewdney Avenue on Jan. 23, 2022.
This alleged incident occurred at at roughly 4:41 p.m., after a report was made to police of a person who was described as an “undesirable visitor.”
“Employees on the retailer stated the male was bothering buyer; they requested him to go away a number of occasions, however the male refused,” police said. “Officers arrived and suggested the male he ought to depart.
“When the male ignored them, one officer took his arm and the suspect started grappling with the officer. After a wrestle, it’s alleged the suspect spit into the face of a second officer.”
Scott Douglas Flaman from Regina was taken into custody and later charged. RPS said the officer who was bodily assaulted didn’t maintain severe accidents and the second officer needed to start a medical protocol that’s carried out when an officer comes into contact with bodily fluids.
Flaman is charged with assaulting a peace officer, assaulting a peace officer inflicting bodily hurt, mischief and possession of methamphetamine.
Flaman made his first court docket look on these fees in Provincial Courtroom at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022.
