BJP’s Bihar unit has expelled the rebels who stop the social gathering to affix the Lok Janshakti Party. 

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday expelled the rebels who stop the social gathering to affix the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) and made it official that Chirag Paswan’s social gathering is not a constituent of the NDA in Bihar. Senior BJP chief and outgoing deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi stated that the NDA contains 4 political events within the state — the BJP, the JD(U), former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi’s HAM, and the VIP of Mukesh Sahni. 

Sushil Modi had final week warned the rebels to ‘come again to the fold or be ready to face expulsion’. As many as 9 BJP leaders have been expelled for indulging in anti-party actions. The expelled leaders embody Indu Kashyap, Anil Kumar, Mrinal Shekhar, Ajay Pratap, Rajendra Singh, Rameshwar Chaurasia, Usha Vidyarthi, Ravindra Yadav, and Shweta Singh. Three of them have joined the LJP — Rajendra Singh, Rameshwar Chaurasia, and Usha Vidyarthi. The LJP has given them tickets to contest the elections. 

This is the primary time when a senior BJP chief formally declared that the LJP is not a constituent of the NDA. Sushil had thus far avoided commenting on the LJP’s exit from the alliance however warned Chirag Paswan towards utilizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pictures through the ballot marketing campaign. “If we get a majority, then only Nitish Kumar will be Chief Minister. There should be no confusion on that front,” the deputy CM stated.

According to stories, Nitish Kumar was reportedly upset by the BJP’s refusal to take motion towards Chirag who had been vocal towards the JD(U) for the previous few months. The declaration made by Sushil Modi can also be seen as an assurance to Kumar that he’s the chief of the alliance and that he shall be on the helm of affairs if the alliance retains energy. 

The three-phase elections in Bihar shall be held between October 28 and November 7. Results shall be declared on November 10.
