Ghulam Nabi Azad to satisfy President Kovind over farm Bills

Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad will meet President Ram Nath Kovind at 5 pm on Wednesday over the farm Bills and the suspension of the eight MPs, sources stated. “The President has given us time and the LoP in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad will meet him at 5 pm,” a senior Opposition chief stated. Around 16 Opposition events had submitted a memorandum to the President on these points.

Earlier, it was determined that as a result of COVID 19 pandemic, solely 5 representatives of Opposition events — Congress, TMC, SP, TRS and DMK — will attend the meeting, relying on their power in Parliament.
